Dr. Sujata Gawai accomplished her post-graduation in ENT from Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical College & Hospital at Kamothe, Navi Mumbai in December 2011. To her credit, she has cleared the National board of examination (DNB) in her specialty in first attempt.

She has completed a fellowship in Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgeries at Bombay hospital under the able guidance of Dr. Nishit J. Shah. During this period she performed/assisted multiple endoscopic sinus surgeries, endoscopic pituitary surgeries, CSF leak repair surgeries, etc. but also developed expertise in other aspects of patient care, preoperative and postoperative management. She has performed numerous cadaveric endoscopic sinuses and skull base dissections.

During her fellowship training, she had an opportunity to work at Bombay hospital, Breach Candy Hospital, P. D. Hinduja hospital, Cumballa hill and Saifee hospital. With an aim to help children and adults with deafness, Dr. Sujata has focussed on learning about Cochlear Implants, the treatment which helps a deaf child or deaf adult to hear and hence speak; under ‘Padmashree’ Dr. Milind V. Kirtane at P. D. Hinduja Hospital. Dr. Sujata has assisted numerous Cochlear Implant surgeries and other ear and sinuses surgeries.
